Fabregas moving to Barca
Arsenal Captain Francesc Fabregas told El Mundo Deportivo: 'If Guardiola called me it would be different. I would be delighted to go. Wenger also hinted that if Barcelona or any other club with same financial clout makes a formiddable bid for Fabregas, he would consider that. Is Fabregas aiming for silverware with Barcelona, because at the time being, winning a cup with Arsenal seems like a uphill task. However Wenger has never voiced qualms over offloading star players like Patrick Viera and Thierry Henry. Fabregas have made his admiration towards Guadiola public, will he rejoin Barcelona?

Re:Fabregas moving to Barca
Arsenal without Fabregas would be disastrous. With the team still in rebuilding phase, selling your top perfomer is never a good idea. Fabregas has been indispensable for Arsenal since the departure of Patrick Vieira. Offloading him at this moment would mean another season without trophy for Arsenal.

Re:Fabregas moving to Barca
i dont think will join barca this season. his being given the captaincy and definately he wont this privilage at barca, and getting a starting line up at barca is not guaranteed. but due to his admiration towards pep guardiola, the possibility cant be ruled out. it would be sad to see fabregas leave arsenal.

Re:Fabregas moving to Barca
if fabregas do decide to play under pep guardiola, barca would be a force to reckon with. la liga would become a quality league for the fans. rivalry with madrid would be very intense.

Re:Fabregas moving to Barca
fabregas has publicly declared his interest in real madrid as well. fabregas told the press that his family would support him if he joins barcelona. it looks like fabregas has made up his mind to join either madrid or barcelona. i wonder how arsene wenger would think about fabregas wanting out of arsenal. interesting weeks ahead for arsenal.

Re:Fabregas moving to Barca
Fabregas is going nowhere this season. If adebayor is sold to man city, then arsenal could afford to get some new signings and build team around fabregas. letting him join barca or real madrid, would be a huge setback for arsene wenger's ambitious squad build-up.

Re: Fabregas moving to Barca
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has revealed that the Catalan giants will start planning their move for Cesc Fabregas next March.
The Arsenal captain, who started his career at the Nou Camp, has been constantly linked with a return to Barca, particularly following Laporta's comments that he was a 'special case'. Fabregas has insisted he is happy in North London but Laporta seems intent on securing his signature, and will set the process in motion before the end of the season. "Cesc Fabregas is desired by us for many reasons," Laporta is quoted by The Sun. "Barcelona have decided to fight for the kid for next season. "The money? This will be decided at the end of March to prepare for a deal. "Cesc is such a big player. Our intention is to convince the Londoners about the sale. "It won't be easy, but we have good relations with the Gunners." |

RE: Re:Fabregas moving to Barca
i saw on the news that Barca vice-president Alfonso Godall said that Cesc Fabregas will rejoin the Catalan giants sooner or later.
Its a bold assumption to make, so i think its going to happen this summer. Fabregas has been transformed so much since he left Barca to join Arsenal. A return to Camp Nou would be like a hero returning home. Wenger has repeatedly said that he will hold off Fabregas at Emirates but a big offer from Barca would be hard for Arsenal to refuse. |

RE: Re:Fabregas moving to Barca
Barcelona have denied reports that they have agreed a deal to sign Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas at the end of the season.
But Barcelona have reacted by rejecting the claims, releasing a statement saying: "Due to the exceptional repercussions created by news that has appeared in different press concerning an agreement with Arsenal FC player Cesc Fabregas, Barcelona roundly denies any negotiations or agreement with the player." RE: Re:Fabregas moving to Barca
Gerard Pique has once again told the media that Barcelona will secure Fabregas sign come this summer. He has been the spokesperson for Barcelona on Fabregas.
"I still do not know if he will come here next season, but one day he will wear the Barca shirt again because he is a fan and I know that he wants to come back in the future," Pique explained. "He is a player that should play here and he wants to come, but we will have to wait and see when that is." Pique has also dismissed rumours that his team are worried about Real Madrid overtaking them in La Liga. Real climbed to within two points of Barca last weekend. "There are rumours that there are doubts, but inside the dressing room there are absolutely none," he continued. "There were many people that were waiting for us to lose our first game and now they are happy and they want us to doubt ourselves. "But the squad is fine and now we will start to win again and continue in the same line as before." In Wenger We Trust ! |
